Ho Chi Minh and Vietcong
-The Ho Chi Minh trail was a system that ran from North Vietnam to South Vietnam through Laos and Cambodia.
-It provided support to the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam and the People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN).
-The national liberation front (NLF) was supported by the North who sent supplies through Cambodia, Laos and behind lines into South Vietnam.
-The US refused to fight in Cambodia or Laotian territory so that supplies would remain safe.
-The Vietcong was an army and organization in south Vietnam and Cambodia.
-They fought the United States and South Vietnamese during the Vietnam war.
-The Vietcong were most known for the Tet offensive because of their huge assault.
-The Tet offensive was one of the biggest military campaigns of the Vietnam war. It was launched by the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) in 1968.
-It surprised the Americans and was a major victory for the North although very little was achieved.

-Anti-war demonstrations increase as a result.
