The Fall of Germany and The Battle of the Bulge
-From D-Day to the Fall of Berlin:
-Battle for Normandy (Operation Overlord) - Summer of 1944.
-Falaise Gap - A pincer movement to try and trap German troops. Was very successful.
-Liberation of Paris.
-Operation Market Garden - Sept. 1944 - Ploy to end the war before the Russians got to Berlin.
-The Battle of the Bulge - A German counteroffensive where they attacked the american section of the line because they were the newest to the war. This caused a bulge in the line.
-Russian attack on Berlin (300,000 Soviet troops).
-Hitler commits suicide in Bunker.
-Russians and Americans meet .
